Montgomery Alabama shifts to attract  Younger Generation

December 06, 2017

Montgomery has a deep rich heritage, but it’s downtown and Riverfront areas are currently undergoing renovations to attract more families and young professionals.  In an article featured in “Know the Community” Winter/Spring 2017 addition, Anna Buckalew of the Chamber states “Montgomery offers an excellent quality of life on a number of fronts – amenities, cultural, recreational, family activities, entertainment, great neighborhood options and strong schools.  Part of what we find when people are relocating to Montgomery is that they are looking for a quality place – a great education and activities for their kids, family, faith, recreation and entertainment, excellent healthcare options, a variety of residential choices, economic opportunities, safety and an easy-going lifestyle.  Montgomery and the River Region have all that, and with no two-hour traffic commutes!”

The downtown and Riverfront areas renovation are strongly underway boasting a new 4 star hotel, convention center, performing arts centre, Amphitheater, and a trendy Riverwalk area full of breweries, lounges, shopping and dining.  With one-third of the population of the United States living within a 600-mile radius of Montgomery, how will this affect the housing industry?
