Is It the Right Time to Sell My Charlotte NC Home?

August 17, 2019

Are you ready? Or not?

One of the most commonly asked questions I often hear from sellers is “Is it the right time to sell my home?”

If you’ve been considering it for a long time but cannot let go, perhaps it’s time to put your courage to the test. For some sellers, what they really want is an assurance that the market is good and their home can fetch a great price.

There are times, though, when you have to sell because there is no other better choice. In such cases, the choice was made for you.

If you’ve been considering selling your home in Charlotte, your first step should be to hire a Realtor® to help you in pricing and listing the home on the market. Your Realtor® will be there for you from the start of the transaction to the closing.

Advantages of hiring a Realtor®  to sell your home

There are many advantages to seeking help from a licensed real estate agent.

For one, you benefit from the agent’s education and experience. Having professional guidance helps you smoothly navigate the challenges of a property sale.

Another obvious advantage of working with a Realtor® is his or her easy extensive market knowledge of your neighborhood. You want someone who is familiar with your local area because they know the homes and prices, so identifying comparables is easier for them.

You’ll also benefit from an agent’s expert negotiation skills, especially if this is your first time to list a home.

Most importantly, you have someone who is competent, experienced and passionate about real estate to help you through the whole selling process, from the time you decided to list up to closing time.  This means less hassle, less stress, and excellent results.

Here are some telltale signs you need to sell your home.

Your family has outgrown the space. There was a time when the house was cozy and comfortable for your family but now the kids are bigger and require their own rooms and space. Or maybe you’re expecting a baby and would like to expand the place but cannot add another room.

When the home became too big for you. When the kids have moved out and you are left with an empty nest, it may be a good time to consider selling your home. After all, what will you do with a property that has four bedrooms, a basement, a study, and large living spaces?

When your neighborhood price has increased. If the home at the end of the block sells for a price good enough for you, and your home happens to have the same square footage and house style as the recently sold one, it’s a great time to consider selling the house.

When you long to live someplace else. When you are not happy with your current neighborhood and would like a lifestyle change, it is the best possible course of action to put your Charlotte home up for sale.

When you are seeking for better educational opportunities for your children. One of the best reasons to put your home on the market and find a new home is when you want to be closer to a good school.

Selling your home can be a challenge, but when you have professional guidance, it becomes a great learning experience.
