The Weather and Real Estate

Most people listen to the news frequently to get updates on the weather.  Climate and the weather conditions have an ENORMOUS impact on how we feel, and the choices we make, and possibly our survival.

There is nothing like spending time outdoors in the spring and fall when the weather is mild.  Something about it just lifts your spirits and makes you feel good. If you are an avid winter sports fan, then you are always looking for locations that contain the most snow possible.  The same is true for those who love surfing and the beach.  Weather has a micro and macro impact on the decisions we make and our happiness.

Do you remember a time before technology made weather updates instantly available?  Before technology, there was a time that not knowing the weather could be life or death.  Having this information at a moment’s notice is something we have taken for granted.  We only become reminded when we hear of catastrophic news reporting the survival and the lives of victims in weather related storms.

Emergency Broadcasts save lives.  The ability to predict the climate and weather conditions has revolutionized our society.  We can even get up to the minute updates of weather conditions.   What if in 2019 we did not have the ability to determine if a major storm was coming, or if the option of knowing how fast the storm clouds will blow by?

The one thing that weather and real estate have in common is they both occur organically, can be predicted, and both have enormous impact on or happiness. 

When I say that real estate occurs organically, I mean that there will always be a cycle of people buying homes and selling homes.   Just like the weather, some days it rains, and on others, it pours.  Our lifestyle choices that impact climate change will have proportionate impact on the qualify to our lives now and in the future.  We must make choices that create a sustainable future.   The same is true for real estate.  The political and financial choices we make today will impact the future qualify of our lives individually and as a community on tomorrow.

What if you were not listening to your meteorologist?  You could incur damage or danger.  The same is true for real estate. We must work with the trained professional that can interpret the historical data for us.   This allows us to protect ourselves from future perils, and or mitigate any risk we could incur.  We can use our predictions for define many outcomes and best practices. 

Have you ever seen the face of a child when the sun came back out?  They can now go outside and play again!  When is the last time you were able to wake up to a gorgeous sunrise and have clear visibility?  These things that we take for granted, weave the fabric of our emotional happiness.  Real Estate we own give us stability, pride, and comfort.  How we feel is important and recognizing what keeps making us feel good is paramount.  Selecting the right home can bring enormous joy and accomplishment.  Make sure you work with seasoned professionals that can give you intended results now and for the future.  Doing so will prove to save you time, money and will contribute to your long term sustained happiness.
