Good Morning World,
We work in an industry where we are expected to be available 24/7. When I am with a client, I give them 100% of my attention never breaking eye contact, and truly listen to what they are saying, being present in the moment. They are special to me. My phone is always off or out of sight. I make them feel as if they are the only ones in the world.
Mental wellness is the ability to be in the present moment with no distractions no matter who or what the circumstances may be.
When I am with someone that just wants to tell me all they know, and are not teachable, I make them understand that I care and if they need me let me know. Usually that ends well for both of us.
I have to set limits with my time and set expectations with regard to your availability. If I do not know the answer, I will get you the answer.
