The Cherohala Skyway

December 07, 2018

There are many things that may affect soneone's decision when considering an area to relocate. We have one in our area. The skyway was dedicated in 1996, and is over 40 miles long. The name Cherohala was derived from 2 national forest names. The Southern Cherokee National Forest, TN., and the Nantahala National Forest, N.C. They connect Tellico Plains, TN., with Robbinsville, N.C. Views are spectacular, with the highest elevations of over 1 mile on the Tennessee-North Carolina border at Haw Knob. There are scenic viewing areas throughout the parkway. Fall colors are impressive. The season attracts many visitors to S.E. Tennessee. These assets may influence the decision process when considering relocation, as well as providing additional recreational opportunities. Therefore the skyway will aid in increaing buyer interest in area properties currently on the market. Especially HUD Owned propreties.
