June 06, 2018

Chemical free cleaning for your home!

Today, there is a plethora of detergents and cleaners that do a great job on those pesky household cleaning job. The                              problem is that they may leave behind unwanted chemicals. If only there was a way to use all-natural products to take care                  of those cleaning chores.

Good news!  Here are a couple of great ideas to help keep those unwanted chemicals and compounds off your surfaces and                 out of your food.

  1. Use Lemon and Salt to Clean Wooden Cutting Boards & Surfaces. Whether you need to clean a butcher block or a cutting board – this is a great, lemony-fresh tactic. Simply sprinkle the wooden surface with coarse salt and then scour the surface using a lemon that has been cut in half. Squeeze it slightly as you scrub to release the lemon juice. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, scrape it off and then give it a final rinse with a clean wet sponge.
  2.  Clean Your Baking Sheets with Baking Soda & Vinegar     Everyone has at least one of those baking sheets with nasty, brown, burnt-on residue. But getting it sparkling clean again is easy. Simply mix 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup baking soda. Put the baking sheet in a plugged sink and cover it with the mixture. Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then scrub it with a rough sponge or scouring pad.

These are only 2 of many ideas that are being used.
