If you are putting your home on the market soon, there are some things you can do to maximize the selling price.  Not talking about a new kitchen here (although that would be nice! )

How about a professional carpet clean if necessary, or touching up paint nicks and dings?  Or you can pay someone to come and and look around with a hard eye to declutter or depersonalize.  Both of these are subtle and yet help sell the home.  You can also pay some attention to the yard and landscaping.  If the shrubs are overgrown you can hire a landscaper to trim the bushes professionally.

Check out your bathrooms.  do the showers need  regrouting? Could the shower curtain or doors need a good cleaning?  Make your bathroom sparkle.

You could also consider having your home professionally staged, especially if you have already moved.  Lots of people dont have the imagaination needed to paln out where furniture can be placed.
