Good credit!  A good credit score is incredibly important.  Poor crdit will limit your housing choices, cause higher loan rates, higher insurance charges.  a good credit score will halp you meet your housing goals.

What do you need to do?  Make all payments on time, consistent bill paying really brings up your score!

If you have old, but still open, credit cards, keep them open.  Old cards show a long history of making payments on time..

Dont use all your available credit.  Experts say that you should try to stay below using 35% of your available credit

And finally, if you are involved currently in a loan process for a mortgage, dont make other big purchases during this period, like buying a new car, or spening on a lavish vacation.  That changes your scores, and can keep you from bing a buyer.

There are lots of places to look on line to see your scores.  If they are low, consult an expert on what needs to be done to fix the score.  Dont lose sight of the fact that doing this work is for a good cause, becoming a homewowner
