LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS, OH MY!

Wacatee Zoo is a hidden gem at 8500 Enterprise Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC. I live nearby, and I can sit on my back porch and hear the lions and/or tigers roar every morning and evening! It’s a strange feeling to hear exotic animals at the beach, sounds of waves crashing and sea gulls calling are more normal!
It is also not unusual to see a peacock or two in my yard that has come to visit. My miniature schnauzer just loves them! We even had my youngest grandchild’s birthday party there and the kids had a blast. He wants to a party there again this year!
They are known as “the best kept secret in Myrtle Beach” and you can visit their website at www.waccateezoo.com for more information. As a local, it is one of the places that we recommend to visitors and that we visit time and time again!
