Showing Agent Reminders and Responsibilities

Showing Agent Reminders and Responsibilities

When you show a home, you are taking on a great deal of responsibility.  You are not just there to be “Vanna White”.     You are expected to be aware of the showing instructions, before you go into the home, and are expected to convey them to the buyer.  Please prepare them in advance.  Do you need a flashlight? Must you remove your shoes?  Also, as the buyer, and or their contractors look at the house, you are expected to make sure that the home is in the same condition as when you arrived.  Please do not let the buyers or the contractors pull at the wallpaper, or drywall, or pull up the carpets to see what is underneath, if you are not going to tuck it all back in.  Do not remove the attic panels, and any insulation, and just leave it on the floor.   Also, make sure that all the doors and windows are locked if they were locked when you arrived. Make sure all the lights that were out when you arrived, are out, and if there are any candles that were lit, please blow them out.   This is someone else’s home, and we need to be more aware that we are intruding in their space.
