FOUNDATTION RED FLAGS WHEN INSPECTING PROPERTIES for Inspectors to watch for.

1:  Rotten to recently replaced wood on the base of exterior wooded door frames and windows.

2: Horizontal or diagonal cracks in the foundation or walls.

3:  Sloping floors.

4:  Wet or moist basement  and soil erosion.

5:  Absence of Gutters or downspouts or clogged gutters and downspouts.

6:  Downspouts dumping water to close to foundation and overgrowth of vegetation close to the house.

7:  A sloping site where water is not diverted from the Foundation

8:  Patios or walkways pitched toward a home or toward its ground level doors.

9:  The presence of mold or mildew and a smell of moisture or moldy conditions.

10: Cracks in a multifamily building possibly accompanied by excessive moisture or water.
