Here are 4 things to think about if you are considering selling your home:

1. You Home Should Sell Fast!  Homes are selling in an average of 17 days, according to the most recent statistics from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). 
2. Multiple Offers Have Become Prevalent!  NAR is also reporting that Sellers are seeing an average of 5 offers on their home.  Bidding wars have become a common thing in this market, and we are seeing many buyers paying over asking price to compete.  This will allow you to pick not the just highest offer, but the offer that makes the most sense for your situation.  It also allows Sellers to better negotiate terms like free or longer occupancy after closing.
3. Inventory Is So Low That Your Home Will Stand Out!  Although NAR has reported that home inventory is down 20% from one year ago, there are signs that more homes are starting to come to the market, according to economists at First American.  Take advantage of the low inventory now, before you have more competition.
4. More Move-Up Buyers Due to Equity!  This past year homeowners have seen a rise in the equity in their home.  Use this equity, along with near-historic low interest rates, to increase your purchase power and possibly even buy your dream house. It’s unclear where home values might be this winter or next summer.
