Staging your home just right
May 04, 2021
Staging is an important part in selling any home. When you stage a house, you are giving the potential buyers a look into what their future home could look like. With that in mind, it is important to remove any clutter, trash, and specifically personal items to give the people viewing the home a clean look so they can envision themselves there. By putting simple furniture, drapes, and candles into a room, you can highlight the best aspects of the house and make the buyers more interested than an empty room. Specific staging skills you can incorporate are adding white towels to the bathroom and white bedding to keep the appearance simple and still give a clean appearance. Also, it is important to add neutral decor such as throw pillows and blankets to add some warmth and even some simple wall art to open the room. Lastly, it is important to keep the landscaping maintained as that is the first thing prospective buyers will see when touring a property. The simple act of having freshly cut grass and a few plants in front of the house can go a long way in the eyes of the buyer. By incorporating these techniques when staging, you will quickly grab the buyers' eyes and interest in the property and allow them to truly envision themselves living in the staged home.
