Flooding your ceiling?  Really?

August 14, 2020

Now that we are in the throws of Summer, here is a tip to keep your home Air Conditioning system from becoming a problem.

Please be sure that your drain line is clear. If it should become clogged, the condensation from the coil could fill the pan under the unit and overflow.

This can damage your ceiling and cause the unit to stop working. If the unit stops working, your first thing to check should be the pan underneath the unit.

Many AC systems have a float switch that will shut the unit off if the water gets too high. If this happens, take a shop vac and clear the drain from the outside of the house.

If this does not clear the problem, a service call from a qualified professional may be in order.

We hope this saves you money and aggravation.

Until next month.
