These Smart Mirrors Are the Fairest of Them All

June 12, 2020

Builders who specialize in smart homes, or want to add to their custom offerings will want to check out the latest smart mirrors.

Anything accessible with a smartphone or tablet can be accessed through the Capstone Connected Smart Mirror and its Control Hub. Users can check traffic and news, watch videos, start the coffee maker, control music playlists, browse social media, and more – all while brushing their teeth or plucking nose hairs.

Bathroom specialist Duravit has taken a more traditional path. Their smart mirrors feature luminosity levels ranging from cool light for makeup application to relaxing warm light for evenings. Duravit mirrors also defog in seconds, and "remember" user's daily use settings.

Kohler's Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror works with its Konnect app that controls shower settings and lighting levels. Similar to Amazon Echo, Verdera assists with shopping, music, and traffic updates. It also features voice-controlled dimmable LED lighting and a motion-activated night light that brightens up for visitors.
