Keep your home safe during the holidays!

-Don't have packages delivered to your home while you're away.  Prevent 'porch pirates' by having packages delivered to your work or to a relative or neighbor that will be home for the deliver.  

-Keep your lights on timers to go off at night, but do not burn your lights while you are away from home.  A few regular porch lights on while you are away could ward off burglars but burning lots of Christmas lights could be an issue if there was a fire and no one was home.

-Keep your tree watered to keep it from drying out and becoming a fire hazard.

-Carefully inspect your lights for frayed cords or broken bulbs before installing.

-Use proper extension cords for outside decorations, and do not string more than the maximum number of lights that can safely be plugged together to prevent fires.
