Find the right agent for YOU!

Selling or buying a property is a difficult task; most dare not try to deal with the multitude of processes by themselves. Most people seek out help from a real estate agent to help either assist or speed up the home buying or selling process. The aim of any recommendable agent is to help their clients achieve their real estate goals.  However, depending on what you are trying to do, not just anyone with an agent license will do. It is important to find the best fit to get the best results.  Here are some tips in finding the right agent:

  • Research first

    • Research the local housing market and familiarize yourself as best you can, so you can ask more relevant questions of your agent and conclusively decide your real estate goals.

  • Stop in at open houses and mingle with potential agents

    • This is a great way to look for what type of agent you’d like and match your agent to personality; if you don’t click with your agent, you could mistakenly miss out on potential properties or deals.

  • Don’t be afraid to ask for referrals

    • Say you’ve found your dream realtor, but the location you are interested in is out of their range, you can ask your realtor to refer you to any agents that are in your preferred location. This gives you a higher chance of success coming from someone you DO like, instead of starting over again.

  • Be honest

    • Your realtor’s job is to help you find what you are looking for, if you are not completely straightforward and direct about your motivations and desires, you will most likely not get the result you are looking for. Being as honest as you can about why you are selling or buying and discussing a strategy for your goals is the best option to have a quick and easy transaction.
