BUYERS -  Understanding the Exclusive Buyers Agreement…

Before signing an exclusive buyer agreement, do your research.  You as the buyers need to be comfortable with the agreement and the agent.

Buyer agreements should include…

Duration of the Agreement – Providing both parties with a clear understanding of the length of their commitment. 

Agent responsibilities – List of duties for the real estate agent – searching for properties, arranging showings, negotiation process, etc.

Compensation – Clearly states the amount of compensation and how the agent will be paid.  It’s important to understand this this is negotiable. 

Buyer commitment – What is expected from the buyer – working exclusively with the agent, providing pre approval from lender, etc.

Hiring an agent has many advantages – It protects your interests – It provides personalized service – It sets clear expectations.

Buyer agreements clarify the responsibilities and expectations for the agent and the buyer, minimizing misunderstandings and provides you with  confidence in the real estate purchasing process.
