6 Ways to Prepare Your Home for a Spring Sale!

Declutter your home.  Get rid of what you don’t need for the next few months, and box them or donate them.  Your home will look larger, there will be less to clean, and there will be less to deal with when you finally do move.

Paint and make small updates.  Sometimes, less is more.  Either paint or just clean your walls.  Sometimes a nice neutral color can make things much more cohesive and make the flow of your home better.

Do some smaller repairs or updates.  Repair that back sliding door that seems to stick, fix the screens with holes in it, clean the windows, fix leaky faucets,  add a mirror to a wall that can reflect the light, to make the room pop. Fluff  or update pillows  There are so many things that you can do.

Walk the Yard.  Pretend it is your first time seeing it.  How is the curb appeal?  Do trees and bushes need to be trimmed?  Are walkways ok?  Are there trip hazards or things that are not safe?  Does your yard furniture look inviting? Cut the grass, weed flower beds, paint the front door, etc.

Clean like your mother-in-law is coming.  Get the dishes out of the sink, clear off the kitchen counters, clean out the fridge and oven, clean the floors, clean corners, dust light bulbs and ceiling fans, shake out rugs, sweep out the garage.

Remove Personalization items. Take down the photos, the family crest and the pet photos, diplomas, flags, political signs, etc.
