Buying a HUD Property Number 2

Buying a HUD Home may be a wonderful opportunity to buy a great home.  Here is how you go about buying a HUD home.

Find A HUD Registered Selling (buyer’s) Agent

Contact a realtor and make sure that they are registered with HUD to sell you a HUD home.  Your realtor can find a list of HUD homes and walk you through the steps to show you the home and to make an offer if you like the home.

Search for a HUD Selling Agent/Broker Yourself

Anyone can search for HUD homes by going to HUDHomeStore.com.  Once there you can find a broker by using the gray bar under the title, third selection to the right where it says Broker Search.  Click on that.  Next select state, city and zip code and you will find a list of HUD selling (buyer’s) agents.

Search for HUD Properties Yourself

Again, go to HUDhomestore.com then halfway down the page you will see where it says Search Properties.  In that area you can put in the state, county, city, zip code, price range and find properties that match your criteria.

Can I make an Offer Directly Through HUDHomestore.com?

No, only a HUD registered selling (buyer’s) agent can make an offer.  Your realtor will help you through the process.
