Hud Keys and Why You Cannot Have Them.

Hud keys have never been given out at closing.  EVER.  And they never will be.  Hud Keys are a secure key system, designed to keep everyone safe.  The Contractors, Realtors, HUD Staff are moving in and out of these homes every day.  We keep these key codes protected for everyone’s safety.  It is also important to make sure that you are locking all doors when showing/ leaving a HUD Home. 

If you are selling a HUD Home, contact the Listing Agent, to discuss how the final walk through will happen, and discuss important issues, like, hiring a Locksmith, when the lockbox will be removed, how your new buyers will get into the house.  These doors are never allowed to be unsecured.   Please do not ignore any emails from the Listing Agent, regarding final walk through, or it may cause a delay.
