Key facts of a home inspection

When buying a home it is wise to perform a private home inspection. A home inspection gives the buyer more detailed information about the overall condition of the home.
You must request a home inspection on your purchase agreement and typically a buyer will have an inspection period. A buyer may be able to make their contract contingent on the results of the inspection. FHA does not perform home inspections.
Appraisals are different than home inspections. An appraisal is only an estimate of value. Buying a home will be one of the largest purchases you will make, be an informed buyer.
