Let your home breathe!
September 09, 2020
Now that we are approaching the end of Summer, our thoughts may be drifting toward the chore of weather proofing the doors and windows.
As we start this project, please keep in mind that your home needs to breathe.
That’s right, a house needs to have some airflow to keep the atmosphere from getting stagnant and possibly unhealthy.
According to a recent article, the inside air should have a humidity level between 30 and 60 percent, with the ideal level being between 45 and 55 percent.
If the humidity gets too high, this could promote mildew growth, not only in your home but in the attic as well.
So, when you are buttoning up your home for the Winter, please remember to let it breathe.
A little fresh air is a good thing.
