As the price of everything keeps going up and up, some of us may find ourselves asking if solar power makes sense. It certainly is a grand idea, especially since today’s technology has improved drastically from first prototypes.

That being said, there are many factors that should be considered before making an important long-term decision concerning the installation of panels on your roof. So, before you take the plunge into this relatively new technology, I believe that research should be done. Talk with actual homeowners that have had their systems for some time and get their honest opinions. Ask about actual savings, and find out if they would do it again.

Todays options area exciting, and future improvements will likely be more so.
